A Love Deferred is on sale for $0.99

I wasn’t supposed to write A Love Deferred. Well, not in the way it came to me. The characters’ story started as something light and as a Christmas-themed short I named, Unsilent Knight.

Unsilent Knight was supposed to be a simple story: two enemies giving in to their hidden desires on a snowed-in night after weeks of feuding as new neighbors. But Cadence Nice and Meki Knight had other plans. They refused to stay in those shallow waters, and their story demanded more.

Enter A Love Deferred—the follow-up my readers asked for.

Cadence is the woman we’ve all been at some point. She’s tired. Jaded. Over the fairytale. And then there’s Meki—unexpected, complicated, and exactly the kind of man who shakes up everything you think you know about yourself. Together, they stumble into something neither of them is ready for, yet can’t seem to walk away from.

This isn’t just a romance. It’s about what happens when your carefully constructed walls crumble. When you’re forced to look at the pieces of yourself you’ve been hiding from. It’s honest, raw, and real in a way I didn’t expect, but I love it even more for that.

And now, I get to share it with you—for just $0.99! A Love Deferred will celebrate its 6th anniversary on Saturday and to celebrate I’m hosting a sale. From December 6th to December 9th, you can grab A Love Deferred and dive into Cadence and Meki’s story. You’ll laugh, you might yell at the pages (I did while writing them), and hopefully, you’ll fall in love with these characters the way I did.

Here’s to love—the honest, inconvenient, totally worth-it kind ❤️‍🔥.

Synopsis:

What happens when the heart wants what the mind resists?

Cadence Nice went from being an optimistic romantic to a coldhearted commitment-phobe. She convinced herself she was over it, finished, done with searching for a stable relationship after wasting her time with an ex who wasn’t serious. No longer did she pine for her stomach to flutter with butterflies or her heart to skip a beat for love. In fact, throw the whole Prince Charming away, his white horse, and the storybook happily ever after too.

All she wanted was sex. Just sex, only sex, and with someone she couldn’t love. She thought she found the perfect placeholder in a man she despised but life has a way with switching things up.

After sleeping with an enemy, her next-door neighbor, Meki Knight, Cadence believed she found bliss in keeping things only physical between them. She was so wrong. Cadence adopted her cold exterior with hopes of giving herself a permanent fix for her jaded heart. But she’ll soon learn just what happens when you accidentally find love in a hookup culture.
