Throughout my novellaĀ A Love Deferred, Cadence Nice was sure to create a solid boundary between herself and Meki Knight. She thought she had their situationship figured out ā had tucked it neatly into the box of ānot that important.ā But somewhere along the line,Ā loveĀ got in the way. When Meki announced his promotion and shared that heād be moving 3,000 miles away, Cadence was faced with a choice. It didnāt just change her… it changed the story. And it all happened the night before he was set to leave Brooklyn.
