After months of outlining, researching, and maybe some procrastination, the creative process for Gluttony, book five in the Love is Cure, Vol. 1 – Vices & Virtues series has started.
To write a book about a sin that revolves around consumption, most notably consumption of food, has been an eye-opening experience. Though the story is thematic, it’s told in a relatable way with a storyline that’s interesting given the subject matter.
Gluttony follows Everett Peters (a name that should be familiar from Envy) along with Apryl Wilde. Book five will have a few familiar faces from other series, offering readers of my work an opportunity to catch up on previously published characters.
I really like this story.
Now, I’ll admit, when I brainstormed this series after deciding the angle I wanted to go with to serve as my take on the seven deadly sins, writing about Gluttony did not make me hot.
There is rarely anything sexy or intriguing about gluttony as a sin…
Well, rarely anything sexy and intriguing.
Not to brag… maybe just a little 😆… what I’ve managed to do with a sin many don’t consider a sin at all, is magic.
I think opposites attract is my new favorite trope (if there’s such a thing).
I don’t have a release date, although I can say I’m aiming for a fall release. I’ll keep you updated with behind-the-scenes updates, teasers, and trailers like the one you’ll view below.
I can’t wait for you to read this story!
There are only two stories left to be told in the series after this. And believe me when I tell you that the best is saved for last.
