Sneak Peek: Second Serving

This Thanksgiving, I’m thrilled to introduce you to Alexis Hamilton and Keith Aaron—a new set of characters who, if you’ve followed my stories, may already feel like familiar faces. They’ve made appearances or were mentioned in my previous works, but this time, they’re front and center in a story I’ve been dreaming of writing for years. A Thanksgiving story has been on my wish list, and I’m excited to finally bring it to life. Here’s a sneak peek of Second Serving—enjoy!

No Fraternizing, Pt. 3 Chapter 8: “… A Mutual Interest In A Business.”

The No Fraternizing series was my first completed series, and Part 1 was my very first self-published story. When I first published No Fraternizing, Pt. 1, I didn’t know what I was doing. It started as a short story with no plans to make it a series. But after readers loved it and wanted more, it grew into a full series, giving us one of my favorite chapters. By the final book, things had changed a lot since the start. Feelings and emotions are at a boiling point, especially in Chapter 8, where we find ourselves caught in the heat of a love triangle.

Inside the Character: Getting to Know Bryant Greene

Bryant Greene was a character I liked the moment I created his character summary. Besides being good friends with one of my favorite characters—Lennox Walker—Bryant’s journey to success was impressive. Now, greed is the vice I’m no fan of. I can’t take it when someone with so much still wants more, especially when that “more” means taking from people who have far less. But Bryant and his greedy ways didn’t completely turn me off. His growth in book three of the Love is Cure series was fun to write and even better to read.

Let’s get to know Mr. Greene a little more intimately.

When Love Just Happens: Episode 11 – When The Heart Won’t Let Go

ESME

I waited for Malcolm at my front door, watching as he slowly came into view with each step he climbed. It had been two days since we’d last seen each other. He insisted I stay at his place after Mason walked in on us kissing, but it just didn’t feel right after that.

Something Short is Coming This Thanksgiving… 🍂✨

There’s nothing quite like Thanksgiving in Brooklyn—the cozy dinners, the beautiful autumn leaves, the warmth of friends, and those unexpected moments that leave you wondering what if… But for two best friends in my upcoming short story, one unforgettable (and slightly awkward) night in Vegas has them questioning everything.

Alternate Story Ending: Yusuf & Clarke (When Life Gives You Sunsets)

I think this might be my favorite alternate ending so far. Clarke and Yusuf were a favorite for many of my reader and for good reason. Their story, set on the beautiful island of Maui, was the perfect example of how fate can bring two people together. This alternate ending will lead into a very important scene in a future story of mine, and you’re among the few who will know the root of Clarke and Yusuf’s growth as a couple… right here in this alternate ending. Enjoy! I’m tempted to reread When Life Gives You Sunsets myself now.

Gluttony Chapter 14: “Get your disrespectful ass back in here and on this f**king mat!”

Gluttony was one of the stories in the series that made me a little nervous before I started writing. The title isn’t exactly sexy, and Gluttony as a sin is often viewed in a very one-dimensional way. But once I got into it, the characters made the story a lot of fun. Everett and Apryl, the MMC and FMC of Gluttony, were attracted to each other the moment they saw one another. But when they were finally thrown together in Chapter 14, things got heated, and the clash of two alpha personalities gave us a chapter to remember.

Inside The Character: Getting to Know Leelah Waters from Lust

Leelah Waters was our second virtue in the Love is Cure universe, and her personality is one that a lot of readers loved, myself included. She mastered the balance between her soft side and her firm, more authoritative side, creating a dynamic that Pryce Williams couldn’t wait to return to. Leelah is one of the virtues who can relate to the vice she’s paired with because, at one point in her life, she was caught up in that same vice. Some readers felt she made Pryce work too hard to earn her affections back, while others thought she didn’t make him work hard enough! Personally, I think she handled everything with the perfect amount of grace, bringing both her and her high school sweetheart to a conclusion they could enjoy and heal from—together.

Let’s get to know our girl Leelah a little more intimately.

Character Q&A: Dallas Roque

On a vibrant evening in Oakland, California, I found myself in the bustling locker room of the East Bay Coliseum where the Oakland Flames had just secured a hard-fought victory. The atmosphere was charged with energy, remnants of the game still lingering in the air. Players were celebrating their win, laughter and shouts echoing off the walls, but Dallas Roque was taking a moment to unwind.

Dallas, still clad in his team gear, sat on a wooden bench, a towel draped over his shoulders, his expression a blend of exhaustion and exhilaration. The locker room was adorned with Flames memorabilia, the scent of sweat and victory palpable. It was the perfect setting to discuss his recent marriage to Ayanna and the journey that had led him to this moment.

As I settled in across from him, he flashed a warm smile, clearly still riding the high of the game. “Ready to talk about my favorite subject?” he quipped, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. It was clear that this was not just a conversation about basketball, but about the new chapter in his life as a husband.
