I have wanted to do a series for the longest but I couldn’t come up with a theme. When the idea to work my version of the seven deadly sins hit and I let it marinate so that it became an idea I could be excited about, I ran with it. Like I explained in a previous post, the first book from the Love is Cure Vol. 1 – Vices & Virtues series, PRIDE, is complete and it is soooo good, but listen I’m bias lol. I love all of my books once I’m done with the first draft. The first time I pore over the first draft and self-edit it, now that’s a whole different story. But the love returns after it has gone through a few rounds of editing.

Anyway, I am currently working on LUST. This story follows NBA center Pryce Williams, who starts the story playing for the fictional Oakland Flames. You will meet Pryce before his book drops next year since he’s mentioned in a few stories before LUST is released including my story dropping in the Fall, Last Comes Love.

LUST will be a second chance love story but it won’t be super sweet. I don’t know; I find it hard to write super sweet love stories. For me, I believe there needs to be some kind of challenge that puts that love between characters to the test with the purpose of measuring how real it is. I need that in my writing and in the stories I read. And you’ll get that in LUST.

There are only three chapters left as of this writing and the story has flowed so well. I put in a last minute addition of Chateau Luxure, so you’ll be reading more about that place. I mean… what would a story with the theme of lust be without including Chateau Luxure – a place that literally means castle lust in French?!

My goal is to complete at least three books this year for the series and I’m well on track despite life still happening outside of my computer. I’m excited about this series tho! Check out my character inspo for Pryce and his high school sweetheart, Leelah.
