Inside the Character: Getting to Know Cadence Nice from Unsilent Knight and A Love Deferred

I’ve had some favorite characters over the years, but if you asked me which character I identified with the most, it would be Cadence. I injected a lot of myself into her character makeup. Working in IT (as I did in my twenties) and loving yoga (a practice I’ve been committed to for many years) are just a couple of our shared traits. Though we are different in many ways—especially her fear of love—Cadence mirrors me in her love for order, planning, and organizing. She’s a favorite of mine and of readers, too.

Let’s get to know Cadence Nice, now Cadence Knight, more intimately.
