Throughout My First, My Last, there were several turning point moments for MMC Hassani Franklin. The story was told in parts for a reason. Created to mimic an actual track race, each part showed the transitioning relationship between Hassani and his friend Ayla. But honestly, the moment that did it was when Hassani showed up at Ayla’s hotel room, on the day that would have been his wedding, demanding that she tell him she loves him… because he loves her and has always loved her.
