The Turning Point: Danyelle Hayes’s Choice in Living Out a Love Song
We first met Danyelle Hayes briefly in When Life Gives You Sunsets. She appeared as a side character, introduced as the best friend of FMC Clarke Ali. Through dialogue between Clarke and her brother Clyde, and Clarke’s own narration, we learn that Danyelle is married to Clyde.
The moment I drew that connection in Clarke’s character summary, I knew Danyelle and Clyde had a story worth telling. And while every element of Living Out a Love Song was fun to write, Danyelle’s turning point—set on Valentine’s Day—remains one of my favorite moments to revisit.
