Introducing… The Bronx Ballers

First, this is my 100th blog post, y’all! When I started this blog a few years ago, it was just a space to drop my new book announcements. Now it has become so much more to me. It’s my little home on the web, the one place I can be my most transparent. What better way to celebrate this blog milestone than to talk about the new?!

The Bronx Ballers is a team you’ll be hearing a lot about in my next few books so I thought it was a good time to finally introduce you to them. The first place they are mentioned is in my upcoming release, Last Comes Love. One of the characters, Lennox Walker, used to play for the team before he took an early retirement and his exit was a major deal and for good reason.

The Bronx Ballers will appear more prominently in the second book of my Love Is Cure series, LUST (click link to read more about that). I can’t wait for you to read that story. Anyway, here’s the Ballers’ backstory…

The Bronx Ballers are a fictional American basketball team based in the New York City borough of The Bronx. The team is one of a few basketball teams still located in their original city of which they were founded. Today, basketball enthusiast consider the Bronx Ballers to be one of, if not, the worst, teams in the league.

Founded in 1948, the last time the Ballers made it to the NBA Championships was in 2015 with the help of former power forward Lennox Walker. Before that, they hadn’t won a championship since the 70s. Fresh off their 2015 win, Walker shocked everyone that same year announcing his early retirement. His exit sent the team back into their losing streak. The Ballers get spanked on the court so often, their home games have many empty seats unless they play against a more popular franchise team. They have 3 Championships, 6 Division titles, and 9 Conference titles. But they suck, like really badly. Things are about to change for them though…
