To say I’ve been writing for a decade is really doing something good to me!
It’s my 10-year Authorversary today, and I can honestly say the way I started this journey is not how I’m continuing it today. I’m wiser, more informed, very focused, and truly grateful to have arrived at this point in it all.
Ten years ago, I published No Fraternizing, Pt. 1. My intention wasn’t to make it a “part 1,” and it definitely wasn’t supposed to be a series. But somewhere along that first year, I found readers who wanted more. They wanted to see what happened next. And it’s been that same interest—your curiosity, your enthusiasm, your love for my characters—that has kept me writing ever since.

Lessons From the Journey
Ten years of writing has taught me that the most important thing is to love the journey. You don’t have to like every moment of it, but your heart has to stay in it. And when it’s not? It’s okay to pause, even when I’ve given myself a deadline. If the love isn’t there, neither am I. So keeping that love alive has become essential.
Another thing I’ve learned is that even when I think something is beautiful, not everyone else will—and that’s okay. Over the years, I’ve learned to focus on the readers who see my work the way I do. That’s not to say I’m not affected by those who don’t. Of course I want my work to be universally loved. But expecting that would pull me away from what matters most—my joy in creating and the readers who resonate with my stories.
I’ve found my voice. I’ve found my lane. And most importantly, I’ve accepted that this is, and always will be, a journey.
What “Romance with Soul” Means to Me
I’ve dabbled in different tropes—intentionally—to see what I enjoy, to challenge myself, and to keep the writing fresh. But the foundation of my stories has never changed: heart, heat, and hope. That’s the root of everything I write.
My stories are meant to pull you into my characters’ emotions as if you’re living in their skin. Their chemistry is meant to give you something to feel. And the hope threaded through every story reminds us that no matter where we are in life, love will find us in the right place at the right time.
The resilience in my couples’ journeys—whether they’re finding love, reuniting, or rebuilding—and in their growth, gives us something real to believe in. That’s what Romance with Soul means to me. And even before I could name it, that’s the energy I’ve poured into every book.

Your love, your comments, your DMs, your support in every form… it’s been fuel for me. I always say, tell your favorite author when you love their work, because chances are they needed that message exactly when you sent it.
A lot has happened to me (and for me) over these ten years. There’s been loss, joy, transition, and growth. I’ve learned what it feels like to win, and what it feels like to miss the mark. But through my love for writing romance with soul, I’ve always found my way back to the keyboard to keep writing.
Thank you for reading. I can’t wait to show you what’s coming next! Here’s to ten years in writing and many more!
