Let me start here…
I remember when blogs first became a thing. Before Instagram became a diary. Before Threads. Before we all started using social platforms to say the things we used to save for long-form posts.
I had at least three different blogs before I ever had an author website, so to say blogging has been part of my writing journey… it’s an understatement. Writing my thoughts has always been just as important as writing my stories.
And speaking of stories…

Over the years, I’ve met some incredible readers. People who truly enjoy getting lost in a book, who read with their full hearts, who are eager to talk characters and choices and the worlds they find themselves wandering through. Those conversations have shaped me more than they know.
Now here we are… the first day of a new month, the final month of 2025.
A year of milestones for me. A year of stretching, slowing down, and becoming even more intentional about my writing. A year where patience and ease took center stage so my words could land exactly the way I needed them to.
And because it’s the end of the year—and because I’ve been thinking a lot about visibility, intention, and the legacy I’m building—I’ve decided to give myself a little challenge.
A BK Year-End Discovery Challenge, if you will.

Not a writing challenge.
A self-challenge.
A reintroduction.
Because I will always be new to someone.
Five years into my career, I realized it. Ten years in, I’m reminded of it constantly. I can promote a story all day long and still run into someone who says, “I’ve never heard of you before.” And honestly? It’s humbling… and a little inspiring.
So I’m taking that inspiration and turning it into intention.
For the next few weeks, across the social channels I frequent (IG, FB, Threads, and TikTok), I’ll be sharing content designed to help new readers discover me, and to help my current readers introduce my work to the friends who trust their book recommendations.
No selling.
No pushing.
Just clarity, mood, vibe, and truth.
A space for readers to figure out if what I write aligns with what they’re looking for.
We’re heading into a new year, and my first release of 2026 will close out the last open series in my entire book world. After that? It’ll feel like starting with a blank slate. A new series. A new era. A fresh direction.
This challenge is my way of honoring that transition, celebrating what I’ve built, sharing who I am, and opening the door to what’s coming next.
There’s so much I’m ready to talk about.
So many stories behind the stories.
Thank you in advance for joining me on this year-end journey. This may be the start of a new yearly tradition…
Stay close 🥰.
