Alternate Story Ending: Romello & Rayelle (They Call Me Mello)

They Call Me Mello celebrated its eighth anniversary on the 1st and I really can’t believe how much time has passed since I hit publish on that book. When I created Mello’s character for part 2 of the No Fraternizing series, I’d only created him to be a distraction from Lila. She was always going to end up with Manny, but we needed to create a challenge for their situationship. But readers fell in love with Mello, and I did too, and when he left New York in part 3 of the series, everyone wanted to know if he would get his own book. I really loved getting deeper into Mello’s character and watching him find love and joy when he least expected it. We’ve checked in with him and his wife, Rayelle, in a previous alternate ending, but in this one, Romello is back home. I hope you love this one. I sure did! Enjoy ❤️.

Rayelle giggled beside me as she settled into her seat, setting her bag of souvenirs on the double-decker bus’s floor.
