I’m ready to talk Polarity now 😌.

It’s time you met Amarah and Jamar and their impossible love story. And when I say impossible… I mean impossible.

Yet somehow, love found them anyway.

It grew quietly in the shadows and became the light they both needed to find their way through one of the darkest seasons of their lives.

We have plenty of time to get to know them between now and November 🙂‍↕️. But for now, here’s a small glimpse into their story.

I feel like I’ve already said all I wanted to say about this 11-year journey in my newsletter 🥹, so here, I’ll just say thank you.

Thank you for the support, the love, and the connections 🫶🏾.

It’s been an interesting journey, one I’ve looked at honestly and wholeheartedly, and still continue to choose.

Happy authorversary to me… and to the readers who continue to mention my books in spaces I’ve yet to reach. Y’all are true-blue to the bone 🥹🫶🏾.

And happy 2nd birthday to Brookelynite Daily, another journey I jumped into headfirst with no paddles but somehow still learned to swim 😂.

To my subscribers, thank you. I’m grateful for you in ways words fail to communicate the way the heart can 🥰🤎.

Some people say when you change the scenery, you change your life 🥰.

For Clarke, a change of scenery was just what she needed to escape her latest love fail. Expecting to land on an island where she could forget all about life in New York for just a little while, she landed exactly where love was always meant to find her. 🥹

My favorite kind of love stories to write are the ones that heal and feel like a getaway at the same time. The kind where the setting heals people just as much as falling in love does… at least in my world. ☺️

My Only is officially 1 year old today 🥹🎈🧁

I loved writing this story 🥰 and I loved telling it in reverse, dropping y’all into one of Ayla and Hassani’s biggest turning points in the prologue before taking you back to show how two people so deeply in love ended up with Ayla saying the “D” word.

Writing true love stories is one of my favorite things to do. We’re gonna swoon… but we’re gonna talk too. 🙂‍↕️🤎

One of my favorite things about Ayla and Hassani is that we literally watched them grow up on the page. We watched them fall in love, build a life together, get married, and then fight for that marriage when life tested everything they’d built.

Thank you to everyone who read My Only, loved it, got frustrated with these two, laughed with them, cried with them, and still rooted for a love that was always meant to be.

Mine is definitely any of the scenes with Hassani’s dad. Especially the one when he takes him to the billiard for a talk ☺️. An undisputed fave 🤭

I love everything about them from the dresses to the cake, and of course the mandatory electric slide at the reception.

As a child, I was a flower girl in many weddings. As an adult, I’ve been a bridesmaid, maid of honor, and a bride. Looking forward to filling that matron of honor spot one of these days too 🙂‍↕️☺️.

So writing weddings, proposals, and vows is kind of my thing because if there’s one thing I can write, it’s a wedding proposal and some vows!

I consider June wedding season, so I wanted to gather some of my favorite wedding vows from my stories and reminisce with you all 🥹🤎.
